Who is Alfonso Quezada?

Alfonso Quezada is the third generation in his family of jewelers.  Born in Mexico City, he learned the artisan techniques to work silver from the hands of his ancestors. In his youth he migrated to the United States and settled for some time in the city of Arizona where he developed the Navajo work skill. In 1976 he moved to the city of Guadalajara and in the same year he made his way in Ajijic, Jalisco. His beginnings were on the street, for 22 years he sold his jewelry on his car parked on Morelos street at its intersection with 16 de Septiembre. In 1998 he opened his first store in the same street of Morelos with number 13 A and in 2000 he moved to number 13 B. For more than 40 years he has brought his designs to hundreds of clients in the United States and Canada. Entire generations have developed bonds of friendship and affection, ties that through the years are still present now in the fourth generation. Thousands of pieces of jewelry have been repaired and manufactured especially for their most demanding and exclusive clients. His reputation extends through the years and the experience gained through decades is reflected in the final product of his creations.
